Land-Use Survey Results November 2020

Click the link below the map to see a summary of our Land-Use Survey (conducted between October and November of 2020). We received a total of 426 responses. The survey results shows a great deal of consistency with the previous survey results conducted for the Comprehensive Plan, although the majority of our respondents did not participate in the CP survey. In summary, respondents felt that the majority of commercial development should be centered around Grand Island Boulevard (with a design similar to Lewiston or East Aurora). Outdoor Recreation, Nature Activities and Festival/Seasonal Attractions were the top three responses for what types of business we should attract to Grand Island. Many respondents mentioned the desire for another (smaller) grocery store (e.g. Trader Joe’s, Aldi’s, Dash’s)
